The following is a message from Charlie Feller, head football coach at North Cedar High School in Stanwood, IA.

In 2013 we lost 8% of youth and high school football participation nation wide!

I just got back from the American Football Coaches Association Convention in Indianapolis, and it was glaringly obvious to me that the AFCA feels as though our game is under attack.

One of the most valuable sessions I attended was by Dr. Sandra Bond Chapman from the Center for Brain Health at The University of Texas at Dallas, which will air on 60 Minutes later this year. I have attached the pamphlet they handed to us for your records. There is valuable information for the parents of your players in the handout that can hopefully increase participation in our great game!"
