I am a strong believer that education begins at home. Having stated that, I will be communicating home very frequently in order to keep our lines of communication flowing.
I am going to require that students use their Google Classroom To Do List . I’ll be explaining them at school as will any other teacher who gives them an assignment during the school day. You can look here to see your child's assignments by having them login at home. I'll be sure to explain how as we get to that in class.
The Internet will serve as an important form of communication. Fast Direct (our grading system) will need to be checked on a regular basis. I recommend setting a reminder to check it once a week.
I will update this website frequently. Please note that newsletters will be on the site. It is very important that you read these. You can choose to 'subscribe' to the website. Then anytime there are any changes to it, you'll get a notification.
I will send the folder home every Thursday. Please look for this. I include a lot of valuable information in the folder including graded school work and other pertinent information. Please sign this and return it by Monday. Newsletters will be sent via Fast Direct and posted on the class website.
I like to call you or “catch you” before or after school! This is not necessarily bad news, and usually it is not!
We will have parent teacher conferences in the Fall and Spring! Besides these official conferences, please feel free to call to set up a conference at anytime.
