Hi! I'm Mrs. Lajoie. I am a Ventura County local, born and raised in Oxnard. I've been married to my husband, Bill, for 16 years. We have two children, Nate and Lainey. I have been working at Saint Bonaventure as a College Counselor since 2008 and I have been counseling for 16 years total. Counseling has been a blessing for me as I have opened up many opportunities to students to SAT practices, scholarships, and colleges.

I started at Saint Bonaventure in 2008 as a counselor and a teacher. I am currently the 11th and 12th grade counselor and I love counseling. In college I had planned on going into law, but then changed my plans when I realized counseling was my life calling. I couldn't be happier that God lead me onto a different path!

My Life
When I'm not counseling, you can probably find me cheering on my son or daughter on the baseball or soccer field! Growing up, I played many sports. In high school, I received varsity letters in volleyball, basketball and swimming, and in college, I played rugby. I love to run around with my kids and now, coach my daughter in volleyball and basketball. I also enjoy traveling and shopping.

I attended Santa Clara High School and went on to earn my Bachelor's degree in Law in Society at UCSB. When I began my career as a teacher at Santa Clara in 2001, I went on to obtain my Master's degree in School Counseling and a PPS credential at University of LaVerne.
