Why Teaching?
Helping friends with homework grew into tutoring younger students, then progressed into teaching as a career. I am passionate about helping students understand the beauty and importance of mathematics because it helps them to explain how the world around them functions. Teaching is so much more than a hobby, it is truly a vocation.
Why SBHS?
My husband, an SBHS alum, introduced me to the campus. I knew SBHS was the right place for me when I saw the personal connections he had made with faculty and the role that a Catholic education played in his life. Years later I am here because I value the connections that I make with my students.
Teaching Philosophy
Not everything in life comes easily, but there is value in the struggle. Sometimes the path through education is rough and challenging but we are better people for having persevered through the challenge. I love teaching challenging subjects that push students towards greater and deeper understanding.

Family Life
I have one daughter who loves going to SB Football games, and I greatly enjoy the outdoors. On the weekends I like to go rock climbing and hiking with my family. As a family, we are on a quest to visit every National Park.
