Why S.B.H.S.?
Why S.B.H.S.?
I started at St. Bonaventure in 1996 and fell in love with the family environment. Two of my children are now S.B.H.S. graduates, class of ´04 & ´16. I took a 6 year break from teaching to have my youngest child, and returned to S.B.H.S. in 2010 because I missed this family. I love including my Latino culture into my classes to widen students' worldview.

¡Saludos! Spanish 1 is an introductory course into the culture and language of Spanish. We focus on the basics and linguistics of Spanish. We go over pronunciation, vocabulary, and conjugation. We also do projects throughout the year to give students a sense of Latino culture.

In Spanish 2 we begin to take the core material and develop it into more complex sentences. The course requires dedication and work; however, it still is a good opportunity to learn the language and progress in your Spanish speaking ability. You will be able to make alters for Dia de los Muertos and have the opportunity to visit Olvera street.
