Why Did I Choose This Experiment

Have you ever wondered if a heated knife cuts through soap faster than a room temperature knife, or if the temperature of the soap affects how it is cut. My project is to see if a hot knife cuts through a bar of soap faster than a knife at room temperature if the soap is at a different temperature. I first saw this experiment while scrolling through YouTube. When I saw the video titled ¨1000 DEGREE HOT KNIFE VS BAR OF SOAP¨, I thought this was a cool idea. Because I enjoy collecting knives and I like to play with fire. I decided to do this project with my friend Ryan, he is trying to find what item is cut fastest with a hot knife.

Does a hot knife cut through a bar of soap faster than a knife at room temperature, if the soap is at various temperatures? I want to know the answer to the question is because I would like to know if heating a knife helps cut through soap more efficiently than a normal knife. If soap is cut with a hot knife it will penetrate the soap faster than soap cut with a knife at room temperature. I believe what will happen is that the hot knife will cut through the room temperature and the frozen soap, but will cut the same as the room temperature knife against the hot soap.
