Our little performers transformed into giants, flowers, snowflakes, and woodland spirits, bringing Wilde's timeless tale of kindness and redemption to life with breathtaking costumes, heartfelt dialogue delivery, and stage presence beyond their years. The message at the heart of it all stayed true: *"Kindness opens every heart." Months of rehearsal, creativity, and teamwork culminated in a performance that left parents teary-eyed and proud — a true celebration of storytelling, confidence, and the Cambridge spirit of creative expression.

It was experiential learning at its finest, where curiosity met heritage.

Celebrating Culture, Values and Traditions
Janmashtami Celebrations – A Joyous Celebration of Krishna’s Legacy
The spirit of Janmashtami came alive at SBDAV Cambridge with vibrant celebrations featuring the traditional Matki Phod ceremony and Dandiya. Through music, dance and joyful participation, learners experienced India’s rich cultural heritage while imbibing values of teamwork, courage, devotion and togetherness.
Dussehra Celebrations – Triumph of Good over Evil
Learners celebrated Dussehra by creatively colouring effigies of Ravana and reflecting on the deeper significance of the Ramayana. They explored the ten vices symbolised by Ravana and identified the negative traits they wished to overcome in their own lives. The celebration encouraged self-reflection, moral awareness and the importance of choosing goodness over evil.
Rakhi Celebrations – A Bond Beyond Boundaries
Extending the spirit of Raksha Bandhan beyond human relationships, learners tied a beautifully crafted, oversized Rakhi to a tree, conveying a meaningful message of protecting and nurturing our environment. The initiative encouraged environmental stewardship, empathy and a sense of responsibility towards nature, reinforcing the belief that every living being deserves care and protection.
