Greetings! I'm Mrs. Bishop, your counselor for grades 10 through 12. With 16 years of experience guiding high school students, I've spent 14 of those years as a Hawk counselor at Arroyo Valley High School before embarking on an exciting journey into the virtual environment here at Virtual Academy. I'm eager to foster strong connections with our families in this new setting.

Originally hailing from San Bernardino, I'm a proud graduate of San Bernardino High School. I blazed a trail as the first in my family to attend college, starting at Valley College before transferring to CSUSB, where I pursued double majors in Psychology and Human Development. Continuing my academic journey, I obtained my Multiple Subject Credential through the teaching program at Cal State and taught in a neighboring district for 6 years. Following a brief hiatus, I returned to academia, earning my Master of Arts in Education with a Pupil Personnel Service credential from the University of Redlands.

Outside of work, I cherish family trips to beach destinations or anywhere with water, finding solace and rejuvenation by the ocean. I'm a proud parent to two boys and a girl, with a shared passion for basketball with my sons and a fondness for Northern California, where I reconnect with family several times a year.

In my role as a high school counselor, I'm dedicated to providing comprehensive support in academic, social/emotional, and career development for all my students. I'm committed to assisting you, your families, our staff, and the community every step of the way
