Doctoral students from the Department of Psychology at Loma Linda University provide evidence-based care to Sierra students via individual and group therapy. LLU students are trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and diagnostic assessment. They work under the supervision of Dr. Maya Boustani.
Maya is an Assistant Professor in the department of psychology at Loma Linda University's School of Behavioral Health, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California, and the director of the CARE lab. Maya graduated from Florida International University's clinical child psychology program After completing her internship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, she completed her postdoctoral training at UCLA, where she worked on projects in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District and with public schools in Delhi, India. Currently, Maya is partnering with Sierra High school to enhance school-based mental health prevention and promotion programming.
