A message from your Counselor
Greetings Dearest Eagles! I hope all of you are doing well and staying healthy. There is so much I miss about being being physically present at Rodriguez Prep Academy, walking the halls, meeting and interacting with staff and family members but most of all I miss all of YOU... all those times you knocked on my office door, put requests for help, classroom lessons, your faces and smiles.
Our life is so different right now and it's less than ideal. However, it's a good time to practice a growth mindset by learning new things and a time to get better at the things you already do. I'm also learning with you, I'm learning new technology and learning new ways to connect and communicate with you. But it's also a time to slow down and give yourself grace in these changing times.
Here is a quote I'd like to share with you, "I think it is possible for an ordinary person to choose to be extraordinary", by Elon Musk. You might feel ordinary but just like him you can choose to be extraordinary. I already think YOU are with your resilience as we embark on this new journey of our new "normal".
My hope is that through this site you stay connected and find helpful resources for you and your family. Please reach out to me with questions and concerns . You can reach me by emailing me at silvia.aguirre@sbcusd.k12.ca.us or submitting a request for help .
I am here for you! Sending virtual hugs!
Mrs. Aguirre
