Jobs for California’s Graduates is an affiliate of Jobs for America’s Graduates, a national school to career transition program with the mission of supporting young people with significant barriers to success to remain in school, complete their high school diploma and to develop the necessary academic, personal, leadership, and vocational skills to be successful to carry out their post-secondary plan. The program serves 35-40 juniors and seniors with the support of a program specialist who serves as an elective teacher to support students develop in the five program goal areas of leadership development, career development, social and civic awareness, and community service. Students receive one year of additional support from the specialist following high school graduation in carrying out their post-secondary plan.
