Message from Vice Principal, John Carranza
Inland Career Education Center is proud to offer several Medical Programs. Our programs consist of Medical Math, Medical Terminology, Certified Nurse Assistant (C.N.A.) and Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN.) For each program, students will be required to show a proof of a High School Diploma or GED for C.N.A. and the LVN program. The Medical Math and Medical Terminology will be offered free and will count as elective courses for high school diploma as well as prerequisites for the LVN program.
Medical Math
This class reviews basic math problems and techniques, including conversions and ratios that are required of healthcare professionals and is a prerequisite class for the VN program.
Class will be counted as an elective for the high school diploma and a prerequisite for the LVN program.

Medical Terminology
Acquire the ability to read, write, and understand medical terms and their relationship to body systems, diseases, and diagnoses. This course is a prerequisite class for the VN program.

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
This class covers patient care skills and procedures in long term care facilities. Students are prepared for state certification testing as Certified Nursing Assistants.
Must have high school diploma or GED to register.
Must have a Social Security card or must have an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) Letter from the IRS
No felony, misdemeanor, or DUI convictions
Fingerprints will be taken on the first day of the program.
Supply Fee: $700 includes textbooks, fingerprinting and C.P.R.
Additional Cost: Students provide their own uniforms, physical, and labs.
Mobile Medical and Dental Dates
Licensed Vocational Nursing Program Training (LVN)
This year-round program prepares students for the State of California NCLEX-PN exam through classroom academics and clinical practice at local hospitals.
Prerequisites and Application Requirements for the program:
18 years of age or older
Official sealed High School Transcript or GED Certificate
*(Transcripts from countries other than the United States MUST be translated and evaluated for equivalency to U.S. High School requirements PRIOR to turning them in.)*

Drivers License or State Issued I.D. Card
No felony, misdemeanor, or DUI convictions (May result in denial for NCLEX licensure)
Applicants must either be a State Certified C.N.A. or have completed a Medical Assistant, EMT, Respiratory, or Hemodialysis Technician program and be able to provide proof.
Must provide evidence of having completed a Medical Math and Medical Terminology course within the last 5 years.
Must provide three (3) letters of professional reference on official letterhead with a wet signature, dated within the last year.

You will need to take the TEAS Exam (Nursing Entrance Exam) and pay a non-refundable fee of $70 at registration.
Registration Fee is $5,300.
Additional Cost: $70 non-refundable T.E.A.S. Version 7 Exam fee + $8,000-$9,000 estimated total program cost. Total program cost includes textbooks, uniforms, State Board Fee, ATI textbooks and ATI Retake Tests. Students provide their own physical and lab work.
