One of the best places to begin is by creating a profile on the Common App. Even if you are still researching colleges, creating an account now will help you organize your plans. August 1: Many colleges begin accepting applications.
September 21–25, 2026: College Go Week. Many colleges and universities waive application fees during this week.
November 1: The most common deadline for Early Decision (binding) and Early Action (non-binding) applications.
Here is a link to many colleges, trade schools, and military institutions within a day's drive. We strongly encourage students to visit campuses whenever possible. In my experience, there is no substitute for seeing a school in person and deciding whether the campus, programs, and overall atmosphere feel right for you.
