Supply chain logistics is the process of getting products from one location to another. This four-week course provides the foundational-level knowledge needed to understand the world of supply chain and earn MSCC’s Certified Logistics Associate (CLA) certificate.

Is Logistics training for me?
Supply chain logistics has a huge impact on both the domestic and global economy. Products have no value to the manufacturer or the consumer unless they can be delivered in a safe and timely manner. Due to the growing complex nature of supply chain logistics and increasing customer demands, workers are needed with a better understanding of the global supply chain, improved problem solving abilities, and basic computer skills. This type of employment is generally full time. It may require physical strength and flexibility, as well as the ability to work as a team member. There are many opportunities for advancement to higher management positions in this career field.
What are the job duties?
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, and report any damage
Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or on computer.
Mark stock items, using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
What requirements are needed to enroll in the Logistics training?
Enroll with Adult Education and complete 12 hours of attendance
NRS Level 4+ in Reading and 3+ Math and Language(assessed with TABE test during enrollment or class site)
Completion of the WIN Online Essential Soft Skills Courseware before the training start date
Must complete post-testing through AD ED
Master your logistics knowledge by working with an instructor in a classroom setting along with online work. Students enrolling in this class will be required to attend class at our Bendix location and work independently as needed.

Students enrolling in the online class will work independently to complete all online assignments as well as written assignments, and will schedule meetings with the instructor to complete this course.
