Program Goals

District- 3 Year Continuous Improvement Plan

  • Students will experience a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) to ensure timely identification and support with academic challenges.

  • Students will be supported through programming to address student social and emotional needs appropriate to their developmental level.

  • Students in Special Programming (Special Education, TAG/ELP, ELL) will be supported based on their unique learning needs with the desired outcome of full inclusion in the school setting.

Saydel ELP Program Goals

  1. Develop services where students will demonstrate socio-emotional development, intellectual, academic, creative, leadership, and artistic domains necessary for becoming an independent and life-long learners. (District Goals 7 and 8)

  2. Consistently use assessments to identify gifted learners, measure learning progress and evaluate programming for gifted students. (District Goal 8)

  3. Collaborate and consult with classroom teachers to plan, select, and adapt above level curriculum to meet needs of gifted learners. (District Goal 8)

  4. Use flexible grouping arrangements to meet the needs of gifted learners which meet both academic and or/affective needs and to collaborate with intellectual peers. (District Goal 7 and 8)

  5. Develop, implement and manage services for gifted students to ensure specific student outcomes by using MTSS process. (District Goal 6)

  6. Participate in and provide professional development regarding the cognitive and affective needs of gifted learners. (District Goals 5-8)
