Saydel CSD Stakeholders;
The Saydel CSD Administration, Staff, Board Members, and community partners have been hard at work navigating through the COVID-19 Pandemic and are committed to planning forward in service of our public. In doing so, we have created a comprehensive Return to Learn Plan that we would like to share with all stakeholders. Please note that schools have been asked to plan for several unknowns which has culminated into three basic models which are meant to be implemented with fluidity as variables change around COVID-19: 1.) Full Occupancy/Onsite; 2.) Restricted Occupancy/Hybrid; and 3.) Un-Occupancy/Virtual. The Return to Learn Plan includes planning domains for each model: Leadership; Infrastructure; Health and Safety; Iowa Academic Standards; Social, Emotional, Behavioral Health, Equity; and Data.
Additionally, our planning is founded on the following COVID-19 Return to Learn Objectives: Care for Life, Safety, and Health of Our Public; Stabilize Our Community and Public; and Community Recovery. In closing, we thank you for your ongoing partnerships, support, and understanding as we navigate through this pandemic together.
Yours in Service,
Todd A. Martin, Saydel CSD Superintendent
The Iowa Department of Education (IDOE) has provided schools guidance on the Return to Learn planning process. Please see the Return to Learn Support site by following the link below.
This document illustrates the assurances we submitted to the state for Saydel CSD's Return to Learn Plan.
The COVID-19 Response Organizational Chart identifies essential priorities and responsible departments for this important work.
As part of the IDOE expectations we were required to plan for various scenarios based on the context of COVID-19. This document outlines three models that serve as the foundation for Saydel CSD's comprehensive Return to Learn Plan. The District will identify model implmentation (and communicate with our stakeholders accordingly) based on safety guidelines from the WHO, CDC, IDOE, and IDPH.
With our Return to Learn Plans technology will serve as a foundational lynchpin. If you have questions, technology difficulties (access, IT, or other), or other related needs, please contact support@saydel.net for assistance.
Transportation will be offered for the Onsite/Full Occupancy and Hybrid/Restricted Occupancy models. All models include COVID-19 mitigation efforts to help in keeping our kids safe while transporting them to and from school.
