The Page Turners is our school's book club! The Page Turners provides a space for students to learn about the world around them through diverse and inclusive books. At The Page Turners, we read books that are diverse in perspective, culture, identity, representation, as well as genre. Club members participate in choosing our monthly reads! Typically, club members receive a copy of the monthly read which we purchase for the club from a local bookstore, Kew & Willow. If you love to read and want to talk all things books, JOIN!!!

The Page Turners worked on creating their book recommendations in celebration of Black History Month. Students recommended Young Adult fiction in which Black characters and narratives were centered. At the Page Turners tabling, there was also a spotlight on celebrating Black writers who have shaped the world of literature with their voices.

In April 2022, The Page Turners Book Club visited Cafe con Libros, a Black-owned intersectional feminist bookstore in Brooklyn! Cafe con Libros' mission aligns with The Page Turners' dedication to reading diverse and inclusive literature. Club members browsed the floor to ceiling bookshelves at this quaint shop full of diverse titles. Students explored books in the Young Adult genre, poetry, mystery/thriller, LGBTQIA+ fiction, and even children's literature! Club members also selected a few books and accessories to purchase!
