• Legionella are present in most hot water systems
• Legionella will grow wherever water can stagnate and temperatures can drop (water outlets)
• Legionella thrive in temperatures of 77 to 108^oF
• Legionella die rapidly at a temperature of 131^oF (3 log reduction in one hour)
• Legionella are killed almost immediately at temperatures over 140^oF

Through the use of EDC Technologies hot water controls your hot water system will be set to operate within a controlled program that will dramatically eliminate the threat from Legionella. We do this through controlled superheating of the water within your boiler system while at the same time controlling the delivered temperature to your tenants at temperatures that safe for consumption. Further, EDC controls and monitors your system on a daily basis to assure that Legionella and other bacteria are effectively eradicated. EDC also records the history of all system temperatures that have occurred within your environment to assure that not only are your tenants receiving adequate hot water, but that the water they use has been heated to a level required for Legionella eradication.
