Dr. M. Kannan, PG and PhD Bioinformatics at Pondicherry Central University. He joined Prof. P. Karthe lab, CAS in Crystallography and Biophysics, University of Madras as a National postdoctoral fellow (NPDF awarded by DST-SERB and DBT-RA awarded by DBT) for the period of 14-07-2016 to 12-04-2019. He moved to Department of Biological sciences, National University of Singapore at Prof. Henry Mok lab and worked on Structural and functional characterization of RNA binding proteins (R2D2, Loqs2 &Dicer2) involved in dengue RNA pathogenesis for the period of 16-04-2019 to 15-04-2020. He has published 31 international paper during his PhD and postdoctoral fellow and has four years of research experience.  He is the life member of Indian Science Congress association (ISCA) and Indian Biophysical society (IBS). His research interest is protein crystallography, Molecular dynamics simulation and Structural Bioinformatics.

His research area includes Infectious disease (Bacteria and Virus), Male infertility and Cancer biology. He is expertise in bioinformatics methodologies like Drug design, Molecular dynamics simulations, SNP analysis, Protein mutation, NGS, Database and server development. He got several appreciation awards like Researcher, Best Young Researcher award and Excellence in Research. Dr. Arun holds a PhD in Bioinformatics. He has more than 10 years research experience between November 2011 and December 2021 at Vision research foundation-Chennai and IISR-Calicut, having extensive experience in bioinformatics (molecular modeling, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, small molecule & peptide inhibitor design with opensource & Schrodinger suite) and hands-on expertise in in-vitro experiments with significant publications in the field of bioinformatics, drug design, and experimental validation. Joined Saveetha School of Engineering as a faculty member and Head in November 2021. He is also, recipient of Indian council for medical research, Senior research fellowship and Department of Biotechnology, Senior research fellowship - Govt of India. On the research front, his research group is now focusing on structural bioinformatics and cell biology research themes in molecular dynamics simulation, potential therapeutics for certain metabolic and microbial diseases, pharmaceutical biotechnology, and comparative genomics.

Dr. N. SUBHAPRADHA, is an Assistant Professor (SG) in Department of Biotechnology at Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences. She obtained her integrated Master Degree in Biotechnology (2008) from Annamalai University, Chidambaram and she completed her Master degree project in AU-KBC Research Centre, Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University, Chennai. She received her MPhil Degree (2010) in Marine Biotechnology and PhD in Marine Biotechnology (2014) from CAS in Marine Biology, Annmalai University. During her doctoral research, she worked as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in MoEn&F (2008-2009) and CMLRE (2012) funded research projects. She has participated in the cruise #291 of FORV SAGAR SAMPADA (2011) to undertake the “Studies on Deep Sea Fishery resources along the East Coast of India”. After that she served as Research Associate (2015-2017) in CARE funded project in Chettinad Academy of Research and Education (CARE), Kelambakkam, Chennai. She received grant from DST SERB as a National Post-Doctoral Fellow (2017-2019) in Chettinad Academy of Research and Education, Kelambakkam, Chennai. Her area of specializations are Biomaterial science, Glycobiology, Cancer Biology, Tissue engineering and Regenerative medicine. She has participated in various national and International conferences and made 13 oral and poster presentations. She has published a book and 2 book chapters. She has submitted 2 gene sequences to NCBI. She has obtained 2 patents in the field of tissue engineering.
