She received her B.Sc (Chemistry) in SBK College, affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University, in 2001. She completed her M. Sc (Chemistry) from the Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai in 2003. She obtained her Ph.D. in Bioinorganic Chemistry, Madurai Kamaraj University under Prof. PR. Athappan in 2008. Later she moved to Complutense University, Madrid for her postdoctoral studies from January 2009  to December 2009.

 He received a Ph.D. in Metal-Organic Chemistry and Material Science from Annamalai University, Annamalainagar, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, India, in 2011. He worked as a Dr. D. S. Kothari Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Fellow for five years at the University of Hyderabad. During this period, he published research articles in highly reputed journals.

His research interests include Metal-Organic Chemistry and Material Science, Crystal Engineering and Advanced Materials, fabrication of novel inorganic-organic hybrid semiconductors, materials for advanced flexible rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and supercapacitors, supramolecular chemistry of self-assembled multi-metal-organic systems, and fundamental physicochemical studies at solid/liquid interfaces.
