INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO NSIC, Govt. of India, Technical Training Division, Chennai.
The Industrial visit was witnessed by 78 students, along with 3 faculty members, Dr.Saravanan.M.S, Dr.Mageshkumar and Dr.Ashokkumar. All the students were very excited and left the campus on 12th February 2024, at 9 AM by bus. The journey was very much comfortable and enjoyable. We reached the Supreme Industries, Puducherry, around 10 AM.
We were welcomed by Deputy General Manager S.Shanthi, we were taken to the meeting room to have coffee and a healthy introduction about ourselves with the owner of the company and the company. Mr. Ranjith Presented a PPT presentation to explain the infrastructure and product of their current ongoing systems Mr.Rajan demonstrated the embedded systems working models the students and the IoT for smart grid environment by Mr.Ankit wade.
The students were learning various AI based IDS systems with many realtime examples with presentations by Mr.Ranjith.
Everyone was motivated and a bright smile could be seen on everyone’s face. The visit was over by 2 PM. The trip was a fabulous learning experience. Moreover, the visit had a value-added learning method, wherein, the students could apply their classroom learning to the real-life situation. It also provided them an exposure to the practical working environment and an awareness about industrial practices.
The student showed their gratitude towards the Deputy Manager Ms.Shanthi, for making all arrangements inside the company. They also thanked the employee who accompanied us and
explained every process with patience, and University Administration for the visit
The Industrial visit was witnessed by 54 students, along with 2 faculties, Dr. Rashmita Khilar, Dr.Nandhini. All the students were very excited and left the campus on 4th March 2024, at 8 AM by bus. The journey was very much comfortable and enjoyable. We reached the Infoziant Technologies, Sholinganallur, around 11 AM.
We were welcomed by the Technical Head Mr. Selva Kumar and the Managing Director Mr.Tony. Next, we have been taken to meeting room for having coffee and healthy introduction about ourself with owner of the company and the company. Mrs.Divya Presented a PPT presentation to explain about the process in their company. We have been taken to the working floor in 5 teams accompanied by the company employees. They showed us the Accounts and R&D Departments, where the design process and implementation of new products were being designed according to their suppliers and need of the market. In the working floor, we were explained about the Cyber security attacks with examples. The explanation about cyber attacks in our day today life is being explained very clearly and every concept on cyber security is well demonstrated. The company employees explained all the process detailly to the students.

The Department of Data Science, Institute of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science organized a One day Workshop on One Day Workshop on IOT Applications using Machine Learning 30th December 2021.
The primary objective of this workshop is to provide basic training and understanding the concepts of IOT - Machine Learning and its applications to the students theoretically as well as practically.
The session started with an introduction to IoT and Machine Learning applications. The guest speaker gave a hands-on session on "ThingSpeak" an IOT analytics cloud platform and also taught the students on how to carry out a machine learning project. Around 50 Students from various institutes CSE, IT, AI&DS, AI&ML, and ECE participated in the workshop and got benefited

The Department of Data Science has organized a webinar on “An Innovative approach in "Non-Parametric Machine Learning Model for Decision Making” on 13/09/2022 (Tuesday) between 3.30 PM to 4.30 PM, through Google meet platform. The resource person for this webinar is Dr. Sweetlin Hemalatha, Associate Professor, SCOPE, Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai.
The main objective of the program is to emphasize the importance of Non-Parametric Machine Learning Model and to implement using Decision Making Tree. The live demonstration was made to build a machine learning model using non-parametric models using real world examples.
More than 90 participants attended the session from various colleges. The students enthusiastically participated in the session and the queries from students were clarified by the speaker.
Mr. S. Smilin Sam has delivered the lecture on cloud computing. He explained the importance of cloud computing over on-premises computing. He demonstrated the deployment of applications like ticket booking and weather monitoring through AWS platform. He also illustrated the cost estimation of an application that uses AWS service with different configurations.
The basic concepts of cloud computing and services provided by the cloud was explained. The live demonstration was made for deploying a weather app in Amazon Web Services. The cost estimation for using cloud services was demonstrated.
