ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Saveetha Engineering College, was established in the year 2001. It is approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The Institution has got NBA Accreditation and ISO certification. The Institution has completed 15 years of dedicated & excellent service in the field of technical education. It offers 7 UG Programmes & 9 PG Programmes. It is one of the best Self-financing Technical Institutions and involved in high quality research in various fields of Engineering. The College is well known for its technical excellence, modern facilities, record of performance with excellent results and enterprising students.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Electronics and Instrumentation was established in the year 2011 with an intake of 60 students. Currently the department offers UG programme in Electronics and Instrumentation. The Department has a team of sincere, dedicated, competent and experienced faculty with commitment to serve the College in achieving its goals. All have completed their master degrees and most of them are pursuing their Ph.Ds and one has pursued doctoral degree. The department has well-equipped laboratories such as Transducers Lab, Process Control Lab, Virtual Instrumentation Lab, Industrial Instrumentation lab etc. Major Test rigs such as Process Control Training Plant, Four Tank-System, pH Control System etc. are available. NI-Labview, PLC, MATLAB and latest software packages are also available.
We conducted a National Level Conference NCIEEE'16 in the year 2016. Around 100 papers were received and 80 were published. Across Tamil-Nadu many of the colleges participated. Colleges like Panimalar Engineering College ,Rajalakshmi Engineering college ,Anna University,Saveetha University, RMK and RMD Engineering college ,Mailam engineering college, New prince Bhavani College Of Engineering etc..
