We can learn a lot about careers by talking to others around us.
This week, we encourage you to interview a family member or someone you know (mom, dad, grandpa, grandma, aunt, uncle, cousin, family friend) to learn more about his or her career.
Use the list of questions below and have some fun.
What is your job?
What do you do for your job?
How did you get your job?
What are some common “tools” you need to do your job?
What is your favorite part of your job?
What is the hardest part of your job?
What did you want to be when you were a kid?
What is your job title?
What kind of training or education did you need to accomplish for this job?
What is your favorite part of the work you do?
What are the most challenging areas of your work?
What are some common “tools” you need for your job?
What are some of your daily responsibilities?
What did you want to do when you were a kid?
What advice would you give to someone trying to find their dream job?
Think about what you want to be when you grow up because we want to celebrate YOU in a fun way. Our goal is to put together a picture collage of our students and their career choices!
On a large piece of paper, write what you want to be and add any drawings/pictures you want
Take a picture of you holding up your sign and send it to your counselor.
Choose one of the Family Fun or Mindfulness activities in the tabs above to do with your family or on your own.
