SACC Pandemic Policies and Procedures
Thank you for choosing SACC. We are excited and ready to see everyone again! The following policies and procedures were created to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our students, and follow the current recommendations of Missouri State Licensing, the Andrew County Health Department, and Savannah R3 School District. Any and all policies or procedures may adjust at any time to follow the most recent recommendation. Any and all policy or procedure changes will be communicated in writing.
For the 2020-21 school year SACC will operate after school, from 2:35-6:00, ONLY. In the event that school is dismissed early SACC will only offer half day care at Minnie Cline. This includes scheduled early outs and weather related early outs. If school is dismissed for COVID-19 related reasons, SACC will NOT be open.
Students will:
Be required to wear a fabric mask
Be expected to provide their own mask
Put on their mask in their classroom before walking down hallway to the SACC meeting area for attendance
Not be allowed to attend SACC if they do not have their mask during classroom dismissal
Wear their own mask entire time, unless eating or drinking
Practice social distancing while eating and drinking
Be served snack on a rotation if necessary to maintain social distancing
Be expected to bring their own water bottle since water fountains will not be available
Staff will:
Be required to wear a mask or face shield
Assist families with picking up their child(ren)
Have health screenings upon arrival
Parents/ Guardians will:
Wear a personal mask or face shield when picking up their child(ren). If a parent forgets their face covering they may:
leave and return with your mask as soon as possible or before 6:00 p.m.
have another pre-approved parent or guardian with a mask or face shield pick up your child(ren)
Be fever and symptom free when picking up their child(ren)
Wait outside the front door and contact site personnel when picking up their child(ren). The adult picking up may use their own personal cell phone or use the provided, covered, sanitized walkie talkie that will be sanitized after each use, if the front door is not visibly accessible by site personnel. After verbal or visible contact has been made, the student(s) will then be dismissed and escorted by a member of staff to the front door.
Only staff and students are allowed to enter the facility and playground. Please note that guests and volunteers will not be allowed to enter the facility
Hand washing is required for students and staff:
upon arrival
after using the restroom
before snack time
before AND after recess on the playground[CH1]
after wiping or blowing their nose
tending to a cut or scrape
whenever deemed necessary
Hand sanitizing is required for students and staff:
immediately before snack is handed to the student
after playing with shared items, including, but not limited to, toys, manipulatives, writing and coloring utensils, craft supplies, and books
when leaving the facility
All items used by the SACC will be cleaned and sanitized after use. Please note that:
toys (such as blocks, puzzles, dolls, cars, games, etc.) will be divided into five days and rotated in/out only once a week
toys, enrichments, and craft supplies will be sanitized at the end of every day
tables will be washed and sanitized after each use
Staff and students will not be allowed to attend when displaying signs of illness. Signs of illness may include, but are not limited to:
Fever
Cough
Headache
Nausea
Vomiting
sore throat
Diarrhea
loss of smell or taste
Staff and students who display signs of illness
will be secluded from others and will have to leave
Must be symptom free 48 hours before returning
