A: We sent out an email to all students showing them what they have checked out. You should see your Chromebook and any books you have at home as well as fines. If you owe things, you can return them during ROAR.
A: No. You do not need your Chromebook for ROAR. Only bring it if it is not working or is broken. The library can send it out for repair and lend you one until yours comes back.
A: Yes. You can return your elementary/middle school items to Segerstrom during ROAR. We will check it in and send it back to them for you.
A: No. The library can not accept money during ROAR and we will need to wait until the school year to accept money for fines. If the fine is for an overdue book or item, returning said item will remove the fine.
A: Most textbooks are now online. If your class needs a hard copy textbook, you will come down to the library with your class to check it out during the school year.
A: You received a new Chromebook and charger. The charger comes in 2 pieces. Make sure to remove both before throwing the box away. You will use this Chromebook until you graduate or leave Segerstrom. Do not charge the Chromebook over 100% or for more than two hours at a time. When you get home, you will need to log in and update it. When you first sign in, it might take a second to download all of your extensions and apps. If you have any questions, please let us know.
A: If you have a hotspot that is working, you can keep using it. We will renew it for you during ROAR. If the hotspot is not working as expected, bring it with you and the library can trade it out for a new one. If you are no longer using the hotspot, please return the device. Some hotspots may stop working if it hasn't been used in some time. Please return the device and if needed the library can replace it with a new device.
