Crisis Hotlines and Suicide Prevention 

Crisis Text Line Text HOME to 741741 from anywhere in the United States, anytime. Crisis Text Line is here for any crisis. A live, trained Crisis Counselor receives the text and responds, all from our secure online platform. The volunteer Crisis Counselor will help you move from a hot moment to a cool moment. 

Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services provides free mental health, substance use disorder, and suicide prevention services. The Didi Hirsch Suicide Prevention Center is the nation's first and an internatioal leader in training, research, and crisis services. 

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Warmline The Warmline is a peer-run hotline that offers callers emotional support and is staffed by volunteers who are in recovery themselves. 

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones. 

OC Crisis Prevention Hotline Crisis Prevention Hotline provides toll-free, 24-hour, immediate, confidential, culturally and linguistically appropriate, over-the-phone suicide prevention services to anyone who is in crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts. 

The Jed Foundation is a non-profit that protects the emotional health of teens by providing helpful skills and knowledge to prevent suicide.

Calm The goal of the app is to help improve your health and happiness. Do you want to reduce stress and anxiety? This app is for you! It is the #1 app for meditation and sleep. 

Chapman University Mental Wellth Project This site includes Mental Health in Schools Toolkits, mental health disorder one-page resources and videos, and distance learning handouts organized by both audience (parents, educators, and children) and grade level. 

Each Mind Matters Each Mind Matters is California’s Mental Health Movement. We are millions of individuals and thousands of organizations working to advance mental health. The mental health movement certainly didn’t start with us, but Each Mind Matters was created to unite all of us who share a vision of improved mental health and equality. 

Grit X Interactive website that provides various opportunities for self-reflection and self-awareness by offering guided exercises and tutorials. You can create your own Self-Care Toolkit! 

Headspace Try headspace for yourself and learn about meditation and mindfulness at your own pace. Even if you have a few minutes or hours, you are more than likely going to find an exercise that will fit your schedule. 

OC Student Mental Health Resource Directory The Orange County Health Care Agency (HCA) has partnered with the Center for Applied Research Solutions (CARS) to help educators, school staff, school administrators, coaches, families, and youth find tools and providers to support mental health and wellness for K-12 students.

Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team APAIT has held a distinctive record of providing high quality programming through its vision – to advocate, educate, and achieve optimal health and well-being for vulnerable communities. APAIT’s mission is to positively impact the quality of life for vulnerable communities experiencing behavioral health challenges, housing insecurity, and at-risk for HIV/AIDS. APAIT is grounded by its core values of compassion, commitment, communication, empowerment, integrity, mentorship, respect, and teamwork. 

Kinder Future Kinder Future supports school district efforts to improve school climates, culture and positive  outcomes for all students by working with students, parents, and school and district staff to increase equity and engagement among LGBTQ+ youth and their families and to make schools safer and more supportive for all students. 

LGBTQ Center OC At the LGBTQ Center OC, all members and allies of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender community of Orange County join together in a network of support and unity. Our life-affirming programs focus on empowerment, and our advocacy efforts focus on speaking out against hate and discrimination. We exist so that every segment of the LGBTQ population of Orange County has the resources needed to thrive in their own lives and communities.

The Trevor Project The Trevor Project offers accredited life-saving, life-affirming programs and services to LGBTQ youth that create safe, accepting and inclusive environments over the phone, online, and through text.
