The objective of this course is to enable students to acquire proficiency in Spanish through linguistic, communicative, and cultural approaches to language learning.  Emphasis is placed on the development of listening comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing skills; as well as, the acquisition of the basics of applied grammar.  Emphasis is also placed on cross-cultural understanding, and this is fostered through real-life applications.
