Hello Muir Community!

I'm Ms. Womelduff (Ms. W for short), and I am excited to be your Muir Fundamental School Counselor! This is my fifth year serving as Muir’s counselor, and I am proud to be part of a school that has earned the prestigious Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) designation for our comprehensive counseling program.

I received dual Associate of Arts degrees from Santiago Canyon College in both Psychology and Liberal Arts: Social & Behavioral Sciences. I then transferred to the University of California, Irvine, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Social Behavior. After completing my undergraduate studies, I attended the University of La Verne, where I earned my Master of Science degree in Educational Counseling, along with my Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential.

In addition to my role as counselor, I serve as Muir’s PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) coach, and I am Authorized CA-Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports External Reviewer (ACER) 2.0 certified. I also hold a California Association of School Counselors (CASC) Supervisor Certificate, which allows me to supervise and mentor counseling interns as they begin their careers.

I grew up in Canada on a small island before moving to California in my sophomore year of high school. I love coffee and bookstores, and when I’m not working with the amazing students at Muir, you’ll probably find me with my nose in a book.

Soy Ms. Womelduff (Ms. W para más fácil) y estoy emocionada de ser su Consejera Escolar en Muir Fundamental. Este es mi quinto año como consejera de Muir y me enorgullece formar parte de una escuela que ha obtenido la prestigiosa designación de Programa Modelo Reconocido de ASCA (RAMP) por nuestro programa integral de consejería.

Obtuve dos títulos de Asociado en Artes de Santiago Canyon College, en Psicología y Artes Liberales: Ciencias Sociales y del Comportamiento. Posteriormente, me transferí a la Universidad de California, Irvine, donde obtuve mi Licenciatura en Artes en Psicología y Comportamiento Social. Tras completar mis estudios de pregrado, asistí a la Universidad de La Verne, donde obtuve mi Maestría en Ciencias en Consejería Educativa, junto con mi Credencial de Servicios de Personal Estudiantil (PPS).

Además de mi rol como consejera, soy la coach de PBIS (Intervenciones y Apoyos Conductuales Positivos) de Muir y soy Revisora Externa Autorizada Certificada de CA-Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (ACER) 2.0. También cuento con un Certificado de Supervisora de la Asociación de Consejeros Escolares de California (CASC), que me permite supervisar y asesorar a practicantes de consejería al comenzar sus carreras.

Crecí en una pequeña isla de Canadá antes de mudarme a California en segundo año de preparatoria. Me encanta el café y las librerías, y cuando no estoy trabajando con los increíbles estudiantes de Muir, probablemente me encuentres con la nariz metida en un libro.

Greetings, Muir Fundamental!

I'm Ms. Llamas (pronounced "YAH-mahs"), and I'm ecstatic to be serving Muir as a School Counseling Intern for the 2025-2026 school year! I'm new to the Muir community, but I've been a School Counselor-In-Training in the SAUSD for over a year now. Additionally, I've been working with children for more than 12 years. 

I completed my undergraduate education at the University of California, Irvine, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education Sciences, specializing in Afterschool Learning & Development, as well as Children's Learning and Development. I then completed a post-baccalaureate program at Yale University, where I studied Psychology with a focus on Developmental Psychology. More recently, I've completed graduate-level coursework at California State University, Long Beach, and Concordia University Irvine, where I'm pursuing my Master's in Education in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services, in addition to my PPS credential. 

In addition to my position at Muir, I'm also a School Counseling Intern at Century High School. I'm also a member of professional organizations, such as ASCA and CASC, which have enabled me to present at and attend conferences for continued professional development.

I grew up in Costa Mesa, where I currently reside, but I have also spent time living on the East Coast and traveling, which I thoroughly enjoy. I love collecting and wearing funky earrings (think Ms. Frizzle) and singing theatrical songs (i.e., Disney, Wicked, etc.).

¡Soy Ms. Llamas (se pronuncia "YAH-mahs") y estoy encantada de servir a Muir como pasante de consejería escolar para el año escolar 2025-2026! Soy nueva en la comunidad de Muir, pero llevo más de un año como consejera escolar en prácticas en el SAUSD. Además, llevo más de 12 años trabajando con niños.

Completé mi licenciatura en la Universidad de California, Irvine, donde obtuve una Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Educación, especializándome en Aprendizaje y Desarrollo Extraescolar, así como en Aprendizaje y Desarrollo Infantil. Posteriormente, completé un programa de posgrado en la Universidad de Yale, donde estudié Psicología con especialización en Psicología del Desarrollo. Recientemente, completé cursos de posgrado en la Universidad Estatal de California, Long Beach, y en la Universidad Concordia, Irvine, donde estoy cursando una Maestría en Educación en Formación de Consejeros/Servicios de Orientación y Consejería Escolar, además de obtener mi credencial de PPS.

Además de mi puesto en Muir, también soy pasante de Consejería Escolar en Century High School. También soy miembra de organizaciones profesionales, como ASCA y CASC, lo que me ha permitido presentar y asistir a conferencias para mi desarrollo profesional continuo.

Crecí en Costa Mesa, donde resido actualmente, pero también he pasado tiempo viviendo en la Costa Este y viajando, algo que disfruto muchísimo. Me encanta coleccionar y usar aretes originales (como los de Ms. Frizzle) y cantar canciones de teatro (como Disney, Wicked, etc.).
