Our voices. Our stories. Our time.
Our voices. Our stories. Our time.
This year’s LitCon theme is a celebration of now—our era. It’s about finding your voice, owning your truth, and creating something that reflects who you are and what you believe in. Whether you've faced challenges, started over, or simply want to speak up for yourself or others, this is your time to do it—through poetry, prose, film, music, or media.
Your story doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. It just has to be yours.
This theme is all about you—your life, your voice, and what you care about. You can write about who you are, what you’ve been through, or how you see the world now. You can also imagine a better future or tell a story that shows someone speaking up, changing, or healing.
Write a short story, a journal-style reflection, or a personal memory. Your main character can be you or someone you make up. Think about how they grow, change, or stand up for something. Show us what this “era” means to them.
Write a poem about how you feel, what you believe, or what you’ve learned. Use rhythm, wordplay, or emotion. It can be personal, powerful, or even funny—as long as it’s real.
Make a short video, original song, or animation that tells a story, shares a message, or shows a feeling. Use images, sound, music, or voice to help others understand your point of view. Be creative—you can perform, record, or draw your idea!
