COLLEGE PLACEMENT TESTING

ACT SENDING SCORES INFORMATION

ACT TESTING

All juniors will take the ACT at school during the Spring. This ACT is free and students can select 4 colleges/universities to have their scores sent to during the registration process. We also use this ACT to gauge our school performance.

ACT PERSONAL REGISTRATION

Students can take the ACT multiple times and colleges/universities will accept the highest score for admission. If a student would like to take the ACT another time outside of school, families will need to register at act.org. There is a fee to take the ACT and the student will select a testing site outside of the school. Scores can be sent to 4 colleges/universities as part of the registration process.

SAT REGISTRATION

Most of our students choose only to take the ACT. However, students have the option of taking the SAT. Colleges/Universities will accept either score. This would be done outside of school.

The SAT also offers subject-specific standardized tests called Subject Tests. Each SAT Subject Test is a multiple-choice subject specific test administered over the course of one hour. Some more competitive colleges/universities suggest you take one or more Subject Tests to demonstrate proficiency in a given area. Most colleges/universities our students apply to do not require Subject Tests.
