The ACT Aspire Interim assessment is an online assessment that SPHS teachers and professional staff use to determine your child’s achievement levels, academic growth, and other information that can help to improve teaching and learning. When working with assessment results, it is important to interpret scores appropriately and not to place too much emphasis on any one score. It is appropriate to use the results from the ACT Aspire Interim along with the results of classroom performance (assignments, projects, quizzes, tests, observations) as well as the results of other assessments to determine a student’s academic progress. Please consider the following when your child is taking the test:
● This test does not count towards your child’s grade but will help your child’s teacher determine his/her growth & achievement
● Students must use the district provided Chromebook
● Please refrain from helping your child during the test
The morning of testing each student will receive an email with their unique login credentials for each ACT Interim test. Students login credentials are unique to them and should not be shared with anyone else as they will match to each student and their own test. If a student requires accommodations those will automatically be attached to their unique testing credentials. More information will be emailed to your child but you may also find it here. Though the Aspire Interim assessments are important, it is only one measure of your child’s progress in school. Please continue to communicate with your child’s teachers and other school staff to get a full picture of your child’s school success.
