Homework Policy and Grading

Kindergarten students do not receive homework in general.  Students work hard during the day and benefit from free time and rest after school.  Daily reading at home for enjoyment is very beneficial to develop early learning skills and is strongly encouraged.

If a student has missed activities during the day that can be made up at home, those activities will be placed in the student's blue communication folder to be completed as time permits.   

Students are graded according to the New York State learning standards for kindergarten.
