Please email or send a paper note - voice mail is not the most efficient way for me to get back to you ~ Thank you!
*I generally check my email between 8:30am & 9:00 am and again at some point between 11:30am -3:30pm. I will try to send you a quick one line answer to let you know I've received your email. Many emails require a more detailed response than one line, but there is often not time for a detailed response while the students are at school. If I don't respond within a school day, please feel free to send a follow up.
**If you are altering your child’s dismissal routine please send a paper note that can be sent to the office. In the event I am absent and you sent me an email it will not be read by the substitute. You could also cc Mrs. Hofbauer & Mrs. Sawchuck if you do happen to email: ghofbauer@saugerties.k12.ny.us , dsawchuk@saugerties.k12.ny.us
Arrival = 8:30- 8:45 - The tardy bell rings at 8:45. Each day the class is greeted with a Morning Message that gives an overview, directions and springboards our day. During this time the students are encouraged to greet each other, turn in homework, prepare for the day and begin their Morning Work. Morning Work varies. Some typical options include: Weekend Reflection and other journal prompts, fact practice, typing or cursive practice, word work, math games, seasonal fun brain games and The Friday Five.
8:45 - 9:00 - Students continue to work on their Morning Work or do a 'While I Wait' activity while attendance and lunch count are completed, 'Teacher Mail' is check, paperwork for the office is organized and student needs are met . The student of the day prepares to read the Message or help the teacher read it.

Have you hiked at North Lake? - The photo on the main page is the view from Artist's Rock. My family has always loved camping at North Lake.
