Schoology is a social networking and virtual learning environment for K-12 schools and higher education institutions that allows users to create, manage, and share academic content. The service includes online grading, tests and quizzes, and homework dropboxes. The social media features facilitate collaboration among a class, a group, or a school. Parents may join Schoology to view their child’s course materials, due dates, and announcements.
To set up access parents must first obtain their child’s parent access code. This code, as well as a more detailed set of instructions, is listed in the parent portal on PowerSchool. Log in to PowerSchool at https://ps.saugatuckps.com. At the bottom of the left menu is link to information about joining Schoology, including your access code. If you have additional children in the middle or high school, look under their tabs in your PowerSchool portal to gather their Schoology parent access codes.
Go to www.schoology.com, click on Sign Up, and choose Parent. Enter the access code. Schoology will guide you through the rest of the process, including adding your other children.
