PHILOSOPHY

As the Lakeside librarian, my mission is to empower learners by teaching them how to access and utilize library resources effectively. I strive to create an environment that fosters creative and critical thinking, helping students to expand and deepen their knowledge.

The library is a place driven by curiosity and interest, where learners are encouraged to explore books that capture their imagination. I believe in allowing students the freedom to choose their reading materials, as making selections—even those that might seem like “mistakes”—is an essential part of the learning process. Discovering what excites you as a reader is a lifelong journey, and I’m here to support that exploration.

I also encourage guardians to engage in meaningful conversations with their children about the books they choose, as shared reading experiences can enrich learning.
