Meet the Librarian

Ms. Torrey

I was born and raised in New Hampshire. I later lived in Buffalo, New York, while studying Psychology at Canisius College. Upon completing my Bachelor's Degree, I moved back home to Canaan, NH, where I was hired as a library assistant at the Mascoma Valley Regional High School.

While working as a library assistant, I began to pursue a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons University. I completed the program at an accelerated pace, graduating with a 4.0 and an offer from the Mascoma School District to become a full-time Library Media Specialist at the Enfield Village School. From there, I was teaching library classes to students K-4.

In the summer of 2021, I began a new endeavor and moved across the state to become the Assistant Director at the Pope Memorial Library in North Conway. However, I quickly learned that my heart was in the school library, leading me to the Kennett Middle School Library!

I have been at KMS since 2022, and I'm so happy to be here, working with students again!
