NHMEA General Music Council Chair:Â
Hello! My name is Jamie Bolduc, I have been teaching in NH for 25 years. I began my journey teaching K-6 General Music, Band and Chorus at Hillsboro-Deering Elementary then transitioned to Middle and High School at Alton Central and Prospect Mountain High School and for the past 10 years I have been the Performing Arts Teacher (General Music, Band, Chorus and Theatre) at Ellis School in Fremont. I have been a member of NHMEA my entire career and in college, this organization has helped me to grow so much as an educator by being able to connect with colleagues, bounce ideas off of them and gain insight in difficult situations. Before I was General Music Council Chair, I was the Tri-M Chair for a number of years and assisted in helping build the program.
As General Music Council Chair, my focus is on bringing quality General Music for all levels to our state. Our council assists in creating a list of workshops for our annual Fall and Spring conferences and give those ideas to our Conference Chair. We also have been working REALLY hard to bring Orff level classes to NH, it has been a long road but we are almost there. We are hoping after this course to also bring Dalcroze, Kolday to NH and First Steps/Conversational Solfege back to NH.
We hope you will join us on this journey!
