A little about me.....

Hi, I am Mrs. Lauren Dow. This is my 15th year in education. I am happy to start my first year at Gilmanton School. I have had many teaching experiences including: kindergarten, music, math specialist, and third grade. I have a K-8 Elementary Education degree, a K-12 music degree, and a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Most recently, I have been a 3rd grade teacher for the past 7 years. Not only am I eager to go back to school this Spring, but I continue to attend many workshops and seminars in all subject areas to keep up with best practices for improving student achievement. I currently reside in Barnstead with my husband Brian and our two girls, Makenna and Paisleigh. Our family would also not be complete without mentioning our cats Gyro and Luna and our little canines Frankie and Scooter. As a family, we enjoy traveling, family fun days, being outdoors, and watching the Boston Bruins! In my “alone time” I like to read, knit, cook, bake and visit with family and friends.
