Mr. Michael Major

Teacher Bio

My name is Michael Major. I have been a teacher at Alton Central School since 2005. For the 2019-2020 school year I will be teaching both seventh grade life science and eighth grade physical science, , and as a technology committee member. Originally from upstate New York, I joined the ACS faculty after my education at the State University of New York at Cobleskill (A.A.S in Fisheries and Wildlife Technology), University of Maine (B.S. Wildlife Ecology), and the University of New Hampshire (M.A. Environmental Education-concentration in science education).

The lakes region of New Hampshire is a perfect fit to my hobbies of fishing, kayaking, hiking, and many other outdoor activities. Frequent trips to Winnipesaukee and other fishing spots are a part of my free time.
