Who What When Where Why summary:
The article takes place on the tip of Cuba, as Columbus and his crew was trying to sail to Asia. Columbus was trying to sailing to foreign country land for silks, riches, spices and gold. he thought all of these goods would be in Asia so he tried to get there. Along his way he met some farmers and some of the native people. All of this accrued on December 5th.
Response Summary:
I personally love the parts with the little birds, and how they are apart of the story. But my reaction to the events, was when I was thinking in my head they had it rough. It made me feel lucky now that we have all of these other transportation. I can relate with the trade because when my sister and I want something of each others we would have to trade for it big and small. I could also effect because if you have no money and only things you would have to trade. This would really only occur if we had a full in government.
I wonder questions:
1. I wonder what his crew did to pass all that time during sail?
2. Why would he name the island after Isabella's daughter instead of the men who discovered it?
3. Would coconuts and palms be a good trade?
