The troposphere is the lowest layer of Earth's atmosphere. It extends to a height of about 3.7-6.2 miles. About 75-80% of the mass in the atmosphere is in the troposphere. Most of the clouds are found in the troposphere, almost all weather occurs within the troposphere.
