This Animation shows the Earth's temperature (Day) in the span of a year. It specifically shows the land surface temperature. The lightest blue is where it's the coldest and the brightest yellow is the hottest.
This is the key. The bright yellow is 45 degrees C, and the light blue is -25 degrees C.
