The lighter surfaces of the GIF such as snow, ice, or clouds reflect the most light from the earth. The darker parts such as the oceans, will reflect less light off of the earth. The average
Light yellow means 425 Watts per square meter which is the highest it can get. Light green means 213 Watts per square meter which is in the middle that it can get. Dark blue means 0 Watts per square meter which is the lowest it can get. Watts per square meter is how much energy is being distributed to the square meter.
