On this site you will find many animated gifs displaying data found on the website nasaneo.gov. Each page shows 1 or 2 animations about world temperatures and other things.
This is a gif showing what areas in the world have had the most solar insulation in 2019, over a 12-month period. Solar insulation is the amount of solar radiation hitting the surface of the earth. The top part of the image is the North, and the bottom part is the South. The middle is the Equator.
These sets of data are displayed on maps of the world. Both show temperature in different areas.
This gif is shown under a 12-month period in 2019, much like the solar insulation gif. It shows which places have the hottest temperatures, and which ones have the coldest temperatures. This only shows land surface temperatures.
This gif shows the average temperature of the sea surface each month. This gif is a little bit different from the other two because this one shows the world temperatures in the month of January, over the course of several years.
Go to the second page from the top of the screen to open a borrowed animation from someone else.
