Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to the Hopkinton Elementary Schools. This handbook will provide you with information about Harold Martin School. This handbook contains rules, procedures and services provided to students and parents.

Our school strives to maintain a positive and motivating environment through caring, patience, and respect for students, parents, and one another. We recognize that learning is a shared activity and we aim to strengthen community and parent connections. In the Hopkinton Elementary Schools we strive to:

1. Nurture the personal growth of all students,

2. Help students develop skills that will help them to become caring, productive, responsible contributors to society and life-long learners.

Communication is vitally important for our working relationship:

• First, sign up for our HMS Email List
• For the latest news, feel free to head to our web site.
• Each school employee has an email address that follows the formula: first initial last name (no spaces) @hopkintonschools.org EXAMPLE: Tom Brady’s email address would be: tbrady@hopkintonschools.org
• Every Friday our weekly newsletter which is for all families whose students are in grades PK-6. The newsletter will be sent via the Email Lists (both HMS and MSS) and posted to our web site.
• Also, check our our monthly podcasts which you can access on our web site’s home page.
• We will see you every month at PTA, which meets the first Wednesday evening at 5 p.m. in our preschool room.

We welcome parents and community members to take an active role in the elementary schools. Working together as a team, we will be able to provide a strong foundation for our children. Together, we can make it a great year!
