This plant that you see in the picture is a Oriental Bittersweet. the Oriental Bittersweet is native to Eastern Asia. The Oriental Bittersweet came here by birds eating it and pooping out the seeds, but what I think is the main reason is that people used it for decorations in their homes. You can find the Oriental Bittersweet at the Hopkinton Middle High School near the pickup area, or you can just go in the woods because it will most likely be there. The vine can be spread by root suckering, but is mostly dispersed by animals eating it and pooping it out. to get rid of this plant you can pull the roots out and throw them away or what people also do is cut the vines at the bottom so the vine dies.
This is my Oriental Bittersweet drawing. We drew this near the parent pickup area at the Hopkinton Middle High School. The Oriental Bittersweet was not on just one tree it was on several different trees. It was at the top on some of the trees, but then for the others there it wasn't. When we went to go get some berry's off the vines we could feel that the vines were very strong and were hard to break. The berry's however were very easy to pop.
