Oriental bittersweet spreads from tree to tree in the forest canopy. It answers to a lot of light and get bigger and bigger to reach the forest canopy.
What can be done about this plant?
Mechanical controls alone won't get rid of Oriental bittersweet infestations but they can possibly and effectively prevent damage to the trees and plants that are being killed by its vines. Also less people using it for decoration so that it spreads less.
