Hopkinton is in the state of New Hampshire, in the lower part of the state. Some examples would be saying The white pine tree is near Hopkinton Middle High school and Concord is east of Hopkinton and Henniker is west of Hopkinton. The coordinates of the white pine tree near the high school are 13 minutes, 48.7 seconds North, 71 degrees, 43 minutes, 05.8 seconds West, 398 feet in elevation.
The seasons here are all fairly intense, but especially winter. In Hopkinton is the Contoocook River, Irish Hill, Putney Hill, Dimond Hill, Stanley Hill and more hills. A few types of trees in New Hampshire are pines, beech, birch, multiple kinds of oaks, spruce, hemlock, firs and many more types. In town, there’s Houston Farm (which has been in my family for a long time) which is a dairy farm.
Buildings in Hopkinton/most of New England have slanted roofs so the snow doesn’t weigh them down. The Contoocook Village has some shops that almost everyone in Hopkinton knows or goes to, some apartment buildings, a gazebo with a place for the farmer’s market. Near there is Maple Street School and Hopkinton Middle High school. The Houston fields are behind the town library, which had been struck by lightning two summers ago. In Hopkinton there are a lot of historical buildings and houses. The town cemetery is where we end a lot of veterans day parades with various performances by people in our town, and a place where we can visit our past loved ones with some graves that are from hundreds of years ago. Our mascot for sports are the Hawks, and our main school color is a deep, dark green.
