Hopkinton, NH is located in Merrimack County. The town has a total of 45.2 square miles. The town is 79 miles northwest of Boston, MA, 107 miles southwest of Montpelier, VT, and 115 miles southeast of Portland, ME. Its coordinates are 43°, 13’, 22” N. 71°, 42’, 46”.
The Contoocook River is a 71-mile long river that starts in Rindge, NH, and ends in Concord. It passes through Hopkinton and coincidentally shares its name with the small village in Hopkinton. Gould Hill is home to one of many apple orchards in the state and is also cool because you can see my house from the top.
Bohanan Farm, a five-generation dairy farm, started in 1907 by Lester Bohanan. Over time, it has evolved to keep up with the crashing milk prices, from just a dairy farm to selling a wide variety of products. They sell their own milk, cheese, and butter. And what’s cool about the milk, is that it is bottled in glass bottles, and you can return them for $2.00. There are many other farms in Hopkinton that also sell their products in town.
