I looked up on Wikiapedia that norway maples come from Europe and Western Asia.

• WHERE did your invasive plant/tree come from? Europe and Western Asia.

• HOW did it get here? Norway maple was introduced North America because of its aesthetically pleasing landscaping look.

• When was it brought here? 1756's

• Is it in Hopkinton? WHERE is it in Hopkinton? There are some in Hopkinton. There are not many the are mostly found in front yards. They are all arounf in Manchester and Concord NH.

• WHY is it spreading so much? (Why is it an "invasive"?) Norway maples have very shallow roots and produce a great deal of shade which makes it difficult for grass and other plants to grow in the understory below

• WHAT can be done about this plant?
